Lincoln stages its 53rd annual cycle Grand Prix on Sunday, with over 170 riders competing in the event. The race is held over 11 laps of an eight-mile circuit which includes a steep climb up the cobbled Michaelgate in the centre of the City. The field includes defending champion Dean Downing and several other former winners, as well as riders from Europe. Many of them will be using the race, one of the biggest in Britain, as training for the Beijing Olympics. A large crowd is expected to turn out to watch the riders as they make their way through uphill Lincoln, out to the west of the city and then back into the centre. The race starts at the Yarborough Leisure Centre, Lincoln (1000 BST) and finishes in Castle Square in the city (at around 1330 BST). Send your pictures of the race to: [email protected]
