Mark Clark took GB's women to a play-off victory over Netherlands |
Great Britain men's and women's coaches Chris Finch and Mark Clark have been awarded contract extensions by British Basketball for the 2008-09 season. Both teams gained promotion to European Division A last summer - the first step towards 2012 Olympic qualification.
"I'm very excited to be able to build on the momentum we have created over the past two years," Finch said.
"I am delighted to be given the opportunity to continue as the GB women's head coach," said Clark.

"The last two years have laid the foundations for the programme to become world class," he added.
"I am confident that all the players and staff will continue to make the commitment to the programme and each other that will ensure that we keep moving in the right direction."
Both teams entered their second year of Division B qualifying needing to win all their games in order to progress.
Both succeeded, with the men and women beating Switzerland and Netherlands in their respective promotion play-offs.
Chris Finch's team is unbeaten in the last nine games |
The two teams will discover in February who their opponents will be in this summer's qualifying games when the draw for the group stages is made in Venice.
"As ever, it will take a serious commitment from our players to keep the programme headed in the right direction," said Finch.
He described the team's next objective - that of qualifying for the European Championship finals in Poland in 2009 as "tough but achievable".
