 Kogo was not worried by the driving rain in London |
Kenya's Micah Kogo won the inaugural Bupa London 10,000m road race on Monday in atrocious conditions. Kogo was pushed by Eritrea's world road running champion Zersenay Tadese before powering ahead to win in an unofficial time of 28 minutes seven seconds. Britain's Olympic hopeful Mo Farah finished third despite competing at double his usual distance of 5,000m. London Marathon winner Irina Mikitenko won the women's race ahead of Britain's Olympic marathon runner Mara Yamauchi.  | 606: DEBATE | The German dominated the race after breaking away from Yamauchi for a comfortable win in an unofficial time of 32 minutes one second, with Hungarian Aniko Kalovics taking third.
