Sayers aims to make up for missing last year's Worlds |
British record holder Goldie Sayers qualified for this summer's Olympic Games after winning the javelin contest at the European Cup Winter Throwing. Sayers, who set her British record of 65.05m last year, produced the second biggest throw of her career in Split. The 25-year-old landed 63.65m to reach the qualifying standard of 60.50m. After failing to make last summer's World Championships, Sayers will be hoping to maintain her form in the build-up to the Olympics in August.
