Julien Absalon has been keeping busy in the winter months by racing his brother, Remy, and hundreds of other mountain bikers in an extreme downhill event known as Mega-Avalanche.

The race takes place on the volcanic Indian Ocean island of Reunion and downhill is not Julien's favoured event - the Frenchman is a two time Olympic cross-country champion.

So, just how different is the bike he needs to take on one of the most thrilling downhill courses in the world?
