The staff room at St. Stephen's school in Chandigarh is usually busy with teachers conversing about the current happenings at their school, but the mention of one former pupil, makes them stop and reminisce about the time they taught an Olympic Champion.

Abhinav Bindra made a promise to his school that one day he would win gold for his country, and that promise was fulfilled when he became India's first ever individual Olympic gold medallist at the Beijing Olympics.

St. Stephen's school in Chandigarh is being twinned as part of the Olympic Dream School Search which partners UK schools with schools attended by World Olympic Dreams athletes.
