Olympic downhill gold medallist Lindsey Vonn crashes out in her first run in the giant slalom, causing her team-mate and defending champion Julia Mancuso's run to be yellow flagged.

Mancuso manages just 18th fastest on her second attempt.

The second run is later postponed due to fog and deteriorating conditions in Whistler.
