Britain's top fencer Richard Kruse won the men's foil Grand Prix in Venice to continue his impressive start to 2009. Kruse beat Poland's Radoslaw Glonek 15-12 in the final, having overcome fellow Briton Laurence Halstead 13-2 in one of his earlier contests. The triumph follows gold in Copenhagen and silver in Paris so far this year. "Richard is in a very rich vein of form with three tremendous results since the New Year," British Fencing performance director Graham Watts said. | 606: DEBATE | "We said that the way to achieve increased funding for our 2012 effort was to deliver medals on the piste instead of just talking about doing it.
