Peter Kennaugh has taken silver in the points race at the UCI Track World Cup in Cali, Colombia.

The 19-year-old Manxman narrowly missed out on a gold medal when Colombian Leonardo Duque took maximum points in the final sprint.

The next challenge for Kennaugh is at the Alcides Nieto Patino Velodrome at this weekend.

He is teamed up for the madison with Olympic medallist and ex-world champion Rob Hayles.

Meanwhile, Peter Kennaugh, Mark Cavendish and Johnny Bellis have all received support from the Manx Sports Aid foundation, which was set up to help local sportsmen and women become world class athletes.
