Tyrone skipper Brian Dooher believes his team's goals made the difference in the 3-14 to 1-8 victory over Dublin in the All-Ireland SFC quarter-final.

"We came down here and weren't playing great," said man-of-the-match Dooher.

"Dublin were definitely favourites but we settled better into the game and we got our goals at the right time - they were decisive.

"The fact that (Dublin forward) Alan Brogan went off early had a major effect on the game."

Dooher scored three points in an inspirational display at a wet Croke Park on Saturday.

"We didn't know what to expect and we always go out and do the best we can," he added.

"Dublin would be the first to admit they didn't do themselves justice."
