Gavin Teague of Tyrone tries to stop Monaghan's Aaron McCarey |
Tyrone retained the Ulster Minor title with a 0-13 to 0-10 win over Monaghan in Sunday's final at Clones. Conor O'Neill landed three frees and corner-forward Kyle Coney got a couple from play as the young Red Hands carved out a 0-6 to 0-4 interval advantage. Points from Mark Connolly and Declan Farrell saw Monaghan cut the deficit to one in the second half. Coney had saw a late penalty saved by Emmett McArdle but Tyrone still had three points to spare at the end.
