Malachy O'Rourke team are through to the Ulster semi-finals |
Manager Malachy O'Rourke said his faith in the Fermanagh players had been fully justified after seeing them upset Monaghan in the Ulster Championship. "The boys did as I expected. I felt we had a great chance to win the game and I am relieved we did," said O'Rourke. "Monaghan are a quality team and they came back at us. We were struggling so it was great to get the second goal which gave us a bit of breathing space. "I believed then we would win if we did not make mistakes." Fermanagh midfielder Mark Murphy said the semi-final against Derry or Donegal would provide a huge challenge. "We have to regroup and there is still a lot we have to improve on," said the Derrylin clubman. "Not many outside ourselves thought we could do this but we worked hard over the last six months. "We will enjoy today and then start work on preparing for the next game."
