The opening series of round robin games in the Elk Derry SFC was completed by Slaughtneil's 0-14 to 1-6 victory over Lavey on Monday evening. Colin Murphy hit Lavey's goal early on and the former All-Ireland Champions led 1-5 to 0-5 at the interval. However, Jim Kelly's seven points helped Slaughtneil take charge while Paul Bradley hit 0-4. Patsy Bradley's introduction at half-time helped turn the game in Slaughtneil's favour. Fergal McEldowney also contributed three points for Slaughtneil.
Holders Glenullin, Ballinascreen, Dungiven and Castledawson claimed victories in Sunday's games.

Seamus Bradley's 1-5 helped Ballinascreen defeat Loup 3-8 to 0-8. Goals from Kevin Hinphey and Paul Murphy helped Dungiven beat Kilrea 3-16 to 0-10 while Castledawson edged out Craigbane 2-11 to 2-8. Rory Shivers and Paddy Henry hit early goals for Castledawson and while Lee Moore's 1-3 helped Craigbane fight back, Dawson held on to win. Monday's game sees Slaughtneil taking on Lavey at Magherafelt (1945 BST). On Saturday, Bellaghy had to dig deep to see off Magherafelt by 1-7 to 0-9 in the Elk Derry SFC on Saturday. Magherafelt trailed 1-3 to 0-3 at half-time with Frankie Donnelly netting for the Tones. Ciaran Higgins scored four and Barry Gillis three as Magherafelt closed the deficit to a single point. In Saturday's other fixture, Mark Lynch landed 11 points for Banagher as they beat senior championship debutants Coleraine 1-17 to 3-8. Eamon Feeney netted for Banagher in the first half but goals from Richard Carey and Sean Keo McGoldrick helped Coleraine get level, 2-4 to 1-7, at the break.
Gregory Bradley scored the third goal but two late points secured Banagher's win.
