Oisin McConville helped Armagh claim the 2002 All-Ireland title
Oisin McConville has acknowledged that he is likely to quit the intercounty arena at the end of this season.

The 33-year-old has been affected by a back injury in recent seasons.

"Unless something miraculous happens.., I won't be playing with Armagh in next year's league and championship," he told the Irish Independent.

"Hopefully, I'll finish up on a high note. And I'd be quite optimistic about our prospects this year, as I feel we've got a decent team."

McConville does intend his continue his club career after his intercounty retirement.

The Crossmaglen man made his Armagh senior debut in 1994 and he played a massive role in the county's 2002 All-Ireland triumph.
