Tyrone's Brian McGuigan played his first game of football since last May when he came on as a substitute for his club Ardboe on Sunday. McGuigan came on in the second half of the Ulster League quarter-final draw against Clonduff, supplying the pass for his side's second goal.
The talented playmaker has been out of action because a serious eye injury.
It is believed McGuigan could feature for Tyrone against Laois in the league in Omagh on Saturday night.
The Ardboe man has been training with the country panel for several weeks.
He was in the Tyrone squad for a McKenna Cup game but did not play.
McGuigan's last appearance for his county was in the 2005 All-Ireland final victory over Kerry.
He suffered a broken leg and subsequent ankle injury in 2006 prior to the serious eye problem.
