Murphy approached to play in AFL | Brian McIver quit after the defeat by Monaghan in July | Donegal manager Brian McIver has revealed that his teenage star Michael Murphy has been approached to play Australian Rules football. AFL scouting agent Ricky Nixon made contact with the young forward recently and is hoping to persuade him to travel 'Down Under' in June. Murphy was drafted into the county's senior squad last year and played in the wins over Leitrim and Westmeath. Before that, he starred for St Eunan's Letterkenny at Colleges level.
