Down manager Ross Carr
Ross Carr's Down beat Sligo by two points at Newry
Down showed their battling qualities by producing a second half revival to beat Sligo in Division Three on Saturday.

Ross Carr's McKenna Cup winners trailed 0-4 to 2-4 at half-time with Mark Breheny and Eamon Cawley scoring goals.

Three points from Daniel Hughes and other scores from Kevin McKernan, Paul McComiskey and John Fegan got Down right back into the game at Newry.

Then Jackie Lynch dived to fist in Down's decisive goal while Sligo had Eamon O'Hara red-carded late on.
