Thomas Freeman is the Tennents Ulster GAA Writers Footballer of the Year.

Monaghan boss Seamus McEnaney was named personality of the year award at the writers' annual dinner while Armagh's Declan Coulter won hurler of the year.

The services award went to Declan O'Neill while Jane Adams picked up the camogie award at the Bundoran function.

Coulter picked up the hurling award after being part of the Armagh side which reached the Nicky Rackard Final where they were beaten by Roscommon.

The Armagh hurlers was also picked for Ulster Railway Cup semi-final against Connacht in October.

Jane Adams had another impressive season for the Antrim camogs as did Gemma Begley for the Tyrone ladies football team.

During the function, tributes were paid to Brian Houston who died suddenly last month.

The popular Bass Public Relations manager was one of the driving forces behind the Ulster GAA Writers over the last 20 years.
