Owen Mulligan should be fit for Tyrone's quarter-final |
Owen Mulligan, Gerard Cavlan and Cormac McGinley are all expected to be fit for Tyrone's All-Ireland quarter-final. McGinley's groin problem has cleared up while Mulligan (back) and Cavlan (hamstring) are winning the race to be available for Saturday's match.
Skipper Brian Dooher, troubled by a mysterious groin ailment, may also make the starting 15, but doubts persist over the fitness of Stephen O'Neill.
Tyrone, winners in 2003 and 2005, have been drawn against Meath.
"Gerard Cavlan has not taken part in a full training session with us yet, but the signs are that he is improving," said Tyrone manager Mickey Hatre.
"He certainly should be available for selection in the 30, if not the 15.
"Cormac is back training, he seems to have got over his injury. Brian Dooher is still receiving treatment and as is Stephen O'Neill for the knee."
