Brian McGuigan was injured in a club game two weeks ago

There had been suggestions that the Ardboe forward could return in time for the Ulster final on 15 July - if Tyrone make the provincial decider.

However, McGuigan requires two more surgical procedures on his eye injury after having an operation last week.

McGuigan now believes that it is unlikely that he will be back in action for Tyrone before the end of this year.

The centre half-forward sustained the injury in a club game two weeks ago.
