Mickey Harte has led Tyrone to two All-Ireland senior titles |
Mickey Harte believes his injury ravaged squad can come through Sunday's test against Fermanagh but he expects his men to be put under major pressure. Harte is definitely without Brian McGuigan, Stephen O'Neill, Martin Penrose and Michael McGee while there are several other injury doubts.
"We will be going all out to do our best to reach the semi-final," he said.
"I have confidence the players we have will be able to do that but Fermanagh always have a chance against Tyrone."
Harte appears to be doing everything in his power to avoid any complacency creeping into his camp.
"They (Fermanagh) started the season in the same division as us. It's true that people are making us favourites but people are still giving us the rating of 2003 and 2005 which I don't believe we have earned at this time.
"Fermanagh are in a fortunate position with people suggesting that because they didn't get any league points that they are a poor team. That's not true.
"Many of those games they could have won and they played very well in many of those games.
"They will always be a match for Tyrone because neighbours are like that. No matter how the form is, it's always a great leveller on the day."
Harte is optimistic that at least a couple of his injury-doubts will play some part in Sunday's Clones clash.
"We have concerns over Raymond Mulgrew, Owen Mulligan, Joe McMahon, Enda McGinley and Ciaran Gourley is just returning after a cartilage problem.
"I'm hopeful that a number of those players will prove that they are okay for the bench if not for the start."
