Dublin pair to miss Rules series
Dublin forward Alan Brogan is out of next month's International Rules series against Australia because of injury.

Brogan picked up an ankle injury in Dublin's All-Ireland quarter-final replay defeat by Tyrone and he subsequently had surgery.

Brogan's Dublin team-mate Ciaran Whelan is also out of the Irish squad because his wife is expecting a baby.

Sixteen Ulster players have been included in Peter McGrath's provisional panel for the series.

Sixteen Ulster players have been named in the 43-man provisional panel for the tour.

Seven Tyrone players Sean Cavanagh, Brian Dooher, Philip Jordan, Brian McGuigan, Ryan McMenamin, Eoin Mulligan Stephen O'Neill are included.

Armagh men Ronan Clarke, Paul Hearty Steven McDonnell, Paul McGrane and Andy Mallon also make Pete McGrath's panel.

Down's Benny Coulter and Mickey McVeigh's and Derry's Sean Lockhart and Paddy Bradley are also included.

This year's Tests will be played on 21 and 28 October in Perth and Melbourne.
