Down manager Paddy O'Rourke said his team missed a great opportunity to see off Cavan in Sunday's Ulster Championship game at Casement Park. A last-kick point by John Clarke saved Down from an early Ulster exit but O'Rourke felt they could have had the game won before that.
"At one stage we were four points up in the second half, but we did not sustain it," said O'Rourke.
"We have to learn from that and do that bit better in the replay."
O'Rourke admitted the first half dismissal of Michael Higgins created big problems.
"We were disappointed about that but we coped," said O'Rourke.

"At half-time we said if we did not concede a goal we would win. But we did concede and it put us under pressure. "We started to let them dictate things and get on the ball too easily.
"But we never thought the game had gone. I am not happy with the draw but I am happy we are still there."
Cavan manager Eamon Coleman questioned the four minutes of stoppage time at the end of the game.
""There were 39 minutes in the second half. I do not know where the extra time came from but the game was well reffed," said Coleman.
"The extra man did not help us at all. The changes we made in the second half changed the match.
"Dermot McCabe and Peter Reilly were massive losses for us. We should have won the match but that is the way it goes."
