Tyrone Minors celebrate victory over Down at Casement Park
Tyrone 1-08 1-07 Down

Tyrone defeated Down by the narrowest of margins to squeeze into the All-Ireland Minor Football final.

In a tense game at Casement Park, Tyrone just had enough to overcome a late rally by Down who scored in the first half through Ciaran Brannigan.

Colm Cavanagh was the provider for the 2001 champions when he grabbed Tyrone's goal in the second half.

Martin Clarke brought Down to within Tyrone's total with two frees but missed a long range effort at the end.

Tyrone will now face Kerry or the winners of the Lois v Cork quarter-final tie on 26 September.
