Coleman (right) is expected to have discussions with Sligo officials |
Former Derry football manager Eamon Coleman is being linked with the vacant Sligo job.
Coleman quit the Oak Leaf county job last year but he still commands a huge respect within the game.
Sligo are on the lookout for a new boss after the decision of Peter Forde to quit following the county's Championship defeat by Donegal last month.
The Yeats County went into this year's Championship with high hopes after reaching last season's All-Ireland quarter-final.
However, this summer proved a major disappointment with the team producing poor displays in their championship outings against Mayo and Donegal.
It remains to be seen whether Coleman would view Sligo as a good career move as a number of pundits feel that the Yeats County have achieved the maximum with the current squad.
Meanwhile, former Down manager Peter McGrath has confirmed that he has been contacted by Louth officials in relation to the vacant county football job.
Colm O'Rourke is also thought to be in contention but speculation in Louth suggests that McGrath is favourite for the job.
Meanwhile, Dara O Se is out of the Kerry team for Sunday's Munster Football decider against Limerick.
Peter McGrath: Linked with Louth job |
O Se has failed to recover from a foot injury picked up in training last week.
Eoin Brosnan will take O Se's place in midfield.
The team shows three other changes with Mark O'Shea replacing John Sheehan at left half-back plus Dara O Cinneide and Mike Frank Russell taking over from Declan Quill and John Crowley in the attack.
Captain Declan Quill has been suffering from injury in recent weeks.
Seamus Moynihan moves back to full-back with Eamon Fitzmaurice reverting to the number six jersey.
John Quane will not start for Limerick in Sunday's game.
Quane failed a fitness test on Wednesday and has been replaced by Jason Stokes.
The Galtee Gaels clubman, who played in Limerick's 1991 Munster Final against Kerry, has been named in the substitutes.
Meanwhile, the Tipperary team to face Galway in Sunday's All-Ireland Hurling Qualifier shows two changes from the side which defeated Laois.
Eamonn Corcoran returns after suspension which means that Eoin Brislane drops out of the side with Tommy Dunne reverting to midfield.
Lar Corbett's returns sees John Carroll dropping out of the side while Brian O'Meara switches to left half-forward.
