Kevin Madden showed good form in the National League campaign |
Manager P J O'Hare will send out a new-look Antrim side to face Cavan in Sunday's Ulster Championship quarter-final.
The Saffrons have made six changes from the last Championship match which was the one-point defeat to Westmeath in June 2002.
Manager Brian White resigned after that game, paving the way for O'Hare's second stint in charge.
O'Hare has brought in a new full-back line of Gearoid Adams, Colm Brady and Niall Ward.
The Antrim boss and corner-back Adams have patched up their differences after a public bust-up earlier this year.
Adams said he was quitting inter-county football after finding out on Ceefax that O'Hare had dropped him from the team for a National League fixture.
Cavan problems
The Antrim half-back line for the clash with Cavan will be Sean Kelly, Tony Convery and Anto Finnegan and the midfield pairing is Martin McCarry and Mark McCrory.
Corner-forward Peter McCann gets his first Championship start since playing against Derry in 2001.
Much of Antrim's hopes will rest on full-forward Kevin Madden who produced some encouraging form in the National League.
Cavan have several injury worries ahead of the Belfast game.
Michael Brides and James Doonan look certain to miss the game because of injury while forwards Ger Pierson and Jason O'Reilly are both very doubtful.
In addition, Eamonn Reilly and Colm Hannon are available because of study commitments.
