Dominic Corrigan's Fermanagh qualified for the NFL semi-finals |
Surprise National League semi-finalists Fermanagh are hoping their success has earned them a trip to Croke Park.
The GAA's Games Administration Committee will choose the venue for the 20 April semi-finals on Wednesday night.
The chief consideration is how many supporters a double-header would attract.
Fermanagh play Tyrone in an all-Ulster game while All-Ireland champions Armagh face Laois.
The four teams would need to pull in 35,000 to make using Croke Park, the GAA's north Dublin state-of-the-art arena, financially viable.
"We are hoping for Croke Park - the players are talking about it already," said Fermanagh half-back Justin Gilheaney.
"It would be great for the supporters who have given us marvellous backing this season."
Other possible venues for the semi-finals are Clones, Breffni Park or Belfast's Casement Park.
Fermanagh were not expecting to make it through from Division 1B. Their qualification meant they had to postpone a planned week in Gran Canaria.
"We did so poorly last year people were saying we were a team on the slide," said team manager Dominic Corrigan.
"But the players have made great strides in terms of fitness, moral is good and the team have improved in general."
