Dunlop predicts end to road racing
Robert Dunlop
Robert Dunlop speaks of his sadness following the two recent deaths
Robert Dunlop believes the sport of road racing will eventually come to an end, however it is "very regretful" for him to have to say it.

"It doesn't come from my heart...it comes from my head. It cannot go on the way it's going.."

"There's been a lot of heartache in the past while...but I don't think making changes to appease the powers that be is going to work either."

Robert says the Ulster Grand Prix may be his last road race this year.

Recovery

He has also spoken of his sadness following the tragic death of road racers Gary Dynes and Andrew McClean.

Barely a month has passed since his elder brother Joey was killed whilst competing at a race in Estonia.

"We (the Dunlop family) know what it's like...at this stage we're just saying prayers for all the families involved."

"We're also praying that Denis (Denis McCullough who was injured in the crash at the Monaghan road races yesterday) will also make a full recovery."
