![]() | Monday, 10 July, 2000, 12:15 GMT Derry become Ulster hurling champs ![]() Ollie Collins scored the winning point Antrim 0-19 Derry 4-08 Derry are the new hurling champions of Ulster for the first time in over 90 years after they beat Antrim by one point at Casement Park on Sunday. Dual player Kieran McKeever got the opening goal for Derry. Gary Biggs and Ollie Collins scored Derry's other two goals in the first half. After trailing Derry by eight points at half time 0 - 5 to 3 - 04, Antrim started the second half in style with Conor McCambridge scoring five points.
However, it was Collins again scoring from a free to gain the winning point, and the title for Derry.
