Olympic silver medalist Wendy Houvenaghel has been named the Belfast Telegraph Sports Star of the Year. The track cyclist from Upperlands won the award ahead of golfer Graeme McDowell, motorcyclist Jonathan Rea and sprinter Jason Smyth. Tyrone took the team award with their forward Sean Cavanagh the Player of the Year, while Linfield manager David Jeffrey won the coach award. The breakthrough award went to boxer Martin Rogan. Former Manchester United and Northern Ireland goalkeeper Harry Gregg was inducted into the Belfast Telegraph's sporting Hall of Fame.
