Janet Gray took gold medals in all three disciplines in Florida
Northern Ireland's Janet Gray has successfully retained her World Blind Water-Ski title in Altamonte Springs in Florida.

The 38-year-old from Co Down took gold medals in the three disciplines of slalom, tricks and jumps to take the overall top prize for the third time in succession.

She established new world records in the Tricks and Jumps sections and a European record in the Slalom which she won in a thrilling ski-off.

Gray, who received the MBE in the 2001 New Year Honours, defeated very strong international competition from 70 skiers representing 17 countries.

Northern Ireland's golden girl from Hillsborough took the bi-annual World Champion in 1999 and 2001.

She was also an important member of the Great Britain team to retain the World Championship for the third successive time.
