 Andrew Bree will compete in Dublin in December |
Michael Williamson and Andrew Bree are among five Northern Ireland swimmers included in the Irish team for the European Short Course Championships in Dublin later this year.The 200 metre breaststroke specialists will be joined by Emma Robinson, Julie Douglas and Melanie Nocher in the 12-strong team for the championships which will be held at the National Aquatic Centre from 11-14 December.
Williamson recently claimed a bronze medal in the 200m breaststroke at the World Student Games in Korea.
Those behind Williamson in the final in Daegu included Bree who had to be satisfied with sixth place.
Bree finished a superb fifth in last year's Commonwealth Games final but he has had a disappointing season this year and failed to make the semi-finals at the World Championships.
