Derry receive a boost following Tohill's return to training |
Former Ireland international rules captain Anthony Tohill returned to the Derry camp this week.
However, the four-time All Star was reluctant to confirm whether he will be making a comeback into competitive football.
Tohill did not train with the present Derry senior squad, but continued his personal rehabilitation following knee surgery last year.
A Derry insider said that Tohill looked in ''good nick'' and suffered ''no adverse reaction'' to his first run out on grass.
Speculation has been rife over the future of the big Oak Leaf midfielder.
Last week Tohill denied stories that he would be back for the Ulster Championship.
He told the Irish News that the stories were premature. ''I have not given a commitment to anyone,'' he said.
However, the fact that he is back training with the squad further fuels rumours that he may yet be in the Derry panel for the Championship tie with Tyrone on 18 May.
