Derry 3-12 1-7 Wexford
Derry defeated Wexford 3-12 to 1-7 in Saturday's Allianz National Football League game at Celtic Park.
Playing with the breeze, Derry took the lead through a Paddy Bradley point.
Two Mattie Forde points then edged Wexford ahead but further scores from Bradley, Gareth Doherty and Conleth Gilligan restored Derry's lead at 0-4 to 0-2.
Derry moved up a gear in the second quarter and James Conway's 33rd minute goal helped the Oak Leafers to a 1-9 to 0-3 interval advantage.
Scott Doran's goal in the third quarter reduced Derry's lead to six points but Conleth Gilligan's 55th minute strike made the game safe for the northerners.
Limavady man Paul Brown added a third goal in the final minute to seal an impressive senior debut for Derry.
Both sides had gone into the game unbeaten in the Division.
Derry now lead the division with 11 points from six games - one ahead of Wexford.
Meanwhile, Donegal, who were already relegated, went down 3-9 to 0-10 to Cork.
In Division 2A, Limerick defeated Louth 1-14 to 1-12 at Ardee.
In Division 1B of the Allianz National Hurling League, Offaly defeated Cork 2-17 to 1-17 while in Division 2B, leaders Kerry defeated Wicklow 3-12 to 1-10 win and Meath hammered Longford 4-16 to 1-12.
A goal from Ryan Henderson helped St Michael's Lurgan defeat St Mary's Belfast 1-13 to 1-7 in Saturday's Bank of Ireland MacLarnon Cup Final replay.
