Dermot Donnelly of Annadale Striders
Dermot Donnelly has won his eighth NI cross-country title
Belfast's Dermot Donnelly won his eighth Northern Ireland cross-country title at the new Gransha Hospital course in Londonderry.

By doing so, Donnelly broke the record of former international Derek Graham.

Donnelly moved away from his Annadale Striders clubmate Stephen Cairns and Willowfield's Paul Rowan just before the halfway point.

Annadale's men took the team prize while Suzanne McCormick led Lagan Valley to success in the ladies event.

She finished 17 seconds in front of track star Kelly McNeice with defending champion Ann Paul a further five seconds back.
