Moodie laps it up

Glasgow's Jim Moodie takes first Junior 600cc race
Scotland's Jim Moodie won the Junior 600cc race at the North West 200 on Saturday.

Moodie was given the verdict on his first lap placing after the five-lap race was stopped after two red flags.

Moodie was ahead during the second lap when the race was stopped after a spill at Mathers Cross.

The race was again stopped after the race was reduced to a two-lap sprint.

Officials then abandoned the race and Moodie took the honours with an average speed of 106.148.

Ryan Farquhar took second for a consecutive time. He had the fastest circuit with a speed of 106.232 on the second lap.

Scotland's Iain Duffus was third.

2 Ryan Farquhar (600 Kawasaki) 105.532.
3 Iain Duffus (600 Yamaha) 105.327.
4 Adrian Archibald (600 Honda) 105.111.
