![]() | Sunday, 28 April, 2002, 20:27 GMT 21:27 UK Nutt picks up the points ![]() Marty Nutt is back in the saddle at Donington on Sunday Marty Nutt was back in the saddle in the British Road Racing Championshps at Donington Park on Sunday. Nutt returned to action following a six-week lay-off after crashing during testing in Spain. The Castlerock rider picked up three points on his Superbike debut after claiming a 14th and a 15th placing. Michael Laverty was also making his first appearance in the big time on his new 600 Honda. However, the Toomebridge rider incurred a jump-start penalty and had to settle for 15th place. Ballymoney's Paul Robinson finished an inmprerssive third in the 125cc class at Donington. In the same race, John laverty was seventh and his 15-year-old brother Eugene 13th. Meanwhile, Gordon Crockard was seventh in the 250cc motocross European Grand Prix in Germany. Crockard picked up 14 points in the world championship in which he finished third last year. Ballymena's Philip McCullough was 25th in the 125cc class in his debut in a continental Grand Prix.
