Irish amateur boxers claimed six gold medals at the finals of the Four Nations Tournament in Killarney on Friday night.

The Irish winners included Derry light-middleweight John Duddy and Cavan lightweight Andy Murray.

The two Ulstermen have elected to compete in the European Championships as opposed to the Commonwealth Games.

Other Irish winners in Killarney were flyweight Darren Campbell, bantamweight Damian McKenna, welterweight James Moore and Sligo's Alan Reynolds.

Light-flyweight John Paul Kinsella, featherweight Stephen Ormonde, Cathal McMonagle and Kenneth Egan were beaten in their deciders.

Egan lost a 6-3 advantage at the start of the fourth and final round in his middleweight final against England's Neil Perkins.
