![]() | Monday, 12 November, 2001, 09:44 GMT Ulster suffer Railway Cup defeats ![]() Brian McEniff's Ulster side were beaten by two points Ulster suffered defeat in both Railway Cup semi-finals against Connacht on Saturday. Brian McEniff's Ulster footballers lost 0-15 to 1-10 at Killarney while Leinster beat Munster by 2-11 to 0-16 points after extra-time in the other semi-final in Tralee. The Ulster hurlers were hammered 4-15 to 1-9 by Connacht at Templemore. Munster defeated Leinster 2-20 to 3-12 at Nenagh in the other hurling semi-final. In Sunday's football final, a Graham Geraghty goal helped Leinster defeat Connacht 1-10 to 0-10 at Killarney. Only 300 spectators turned up to watch the match. Similarly, a few hundred people took in Munster's 1-12 to 1-15 hurling final win over Connacht. Corkman Alan Browne hit 1-8 for the winners.
