Kernan quits as Crossmaglen boss
Joe Kernan
Joe Kernan has stepped down as manager of Crossmaglen
The man who guided Crossmaglen Rangers to a record three All Ireland club football championships has quit.

Joe Kernan has sent a letter of resignation to the Crossmaglen club but the reasons for his decision are not yet known.

During Kernan's eight years as manager, Cross enjoyed the most successful club run ever in gaelic football.

They won five Armagh championships, three Ulster titles and three All Irelands, losing just two games in an unprecedented sequence of success.

Neither Kernan or the Crossmaglen club have commented on the dramatic move.

But it is understood club officials are trying to get Kernan to change his mond.
