Sebastien Loeb won all of Saturday's eight stages of the Acropolis Rally and to put himself in position to land his fifth-successive win this season. The Citroen world champion goes into the final day one minute 24.6 seconds clear of Toni Gardemeister in his Ford.
Loeb's team-mate Carlos Sainz was third, a further 7.7 seconds back.
Peugeot's Marcus Gronholm, who was second overnight, suffered driveshaft problems in the fifth stage, finishing the day fourth overall.
Finns Mikko Hirvonen and Hari Rovanpera are in fifth and sixth place.
Petter Solberg, who is second in the championship 13 points behind Loeb, ended the day in ninth after overcoming Friday's driveshaft problems.
"On Friday, even during the second pass I didn't have a great feeling but today I am really confident," said Loeb.
"I think it's because yesterday we were sweeping the roads. Now the car is just perfect. I am happy with the tyre choice and I feel really good."
Sunday's final day consists of four stages.
