Wolverhampton boss Peter Adams says he is delighted with the progress of Ludvig Lindgren after his performance in Monday's 56-39 win over Belle Vue. Riding at reserve, Lindgen, 19, notched 10 plus two from his four rides against the Aces that keeps Wolves on course for an Elite League play-off place. "I'm pleased for Ludvig. He's improving as a rider," Adams said. "That's all down to his decision to take the plunge in the Elite League this season." | If you had said to me before the meeting that Tai Woofinden would only score five and Nicolai Klint three, I would've put us down for a defeat |
Lindgren's older brother Freddie top scored for Wolves with a 15-point haul from five straight wins as both brothers remained unbeaten on the night. There were key contributions from Adam Skornicki (11) and Ty Proctor (7+2) while captain Tai Woofinden could only return five points after a heavy fall in heat four. "It was a good night for the team and if you had said to me before the meeting that Tai Woofinden would only score five and Nicolai Klint three, I would've put us down for a defeat," Adams added. Hans Anderson was the only heat winner for Belle Vue with the former Wolves captain Peter Karlsson scoring nine plus two on his return to Monmore Green. The result takes Wolves third in the table, three points ahead of Peterborough in the final play-off position. Wolves ride against Belle Vue again in the return meeting on Wednesday with live coverage on BBC WM 95.6FM. WOLVERHAMPTON: Freddie Lindgren 15, Adam Skornicki 11, Ludvig Lindgren 10+2, Ty Proctor 7+2, Matt Wethers 5+1, Tai Woffinden 5, Nicolai Klindt 3+1.
