Lindgren (centre) lies 13th in the current World Champioship standings |
Wolves duo Freddie Lindgren and Tai Woffinden aim to take their excellent club form onto the Grand Prix stage this weekend. Lindgren is the top performer in the Elite League so far this season, while Wolves skipper Woofinden has found his consistency after injury. "With three rounds down I know I need to put my league form into the GP," Lindgren said. "I went close in Prague and I hope I can make it in Copenhagen." Woofinden is in his first year as captain at Monmore Green but has been hit by a number of setbacks during the current campaign. The 19-year-old suffered recent crashes at Lakeside and at home to Peterborough, where he damaged his wrist. But Woofinden, who has returned double-digit hauls in his last two meetings, is looking forward to Denmark following a five-point showing in the last round of the World Championship in the Czech Republic. "I was pleased with my performance in Prague, to win my opening race was cool," Woofinden said. "I hope to build on the five points with more in Copenhagen." Both Lindgren and Woofinden will return to Monmore Green in time for Wolves' clash with Peterborough on Monday.
