Rossiter's team host Coventry in the second-leg on Monday, 28 September |
Swindon are on course to make the Elite League play-off final but manager Alun Rossiter has demanded an improvement. The Robins drew 45-45 at Coventry in the first-leg of their semi-final on Monday night despite having led by 10 points at one stage. Swindon will still take an eight-point lead into the return tie after finishing top of the Premier League. Rossiter told BBC Wiltshire: "We seemed to fall asleep in the last few races. We certainly have to up our game." Swindon started the evening well but allowed the Bees, who finished fourth this season, back into the meeting. "If we ride like that in the final - if we get to the final - we'll get beat," said Rossiter. "Every time we come here (Coventry) we seem to have a mini-collapse. It was very poor." Swindon skipper Leigh Adams top-scored for his side with 12 points. "This is a tough place to come to," he said. "They came back pretty strong, that's the way it goes. It was hard work but bring on Monday."
