Former Bees skipper Nicholls was drafted in earlier this season

Scott Nicholls missed his first two rides for the Coventry Bees at Swindon on Thursday after he was delayed on the M25 and Coventry lost 54-39.

Nicholls contributed just two points as the home side made it four wins out of four against Coventry this season.

The result leaves the Bees in fourth place in the Elite League.

Nicholls is in Cardiff on Saturday night for the British Grand Prix along with his Coventry colleagues Chris Harris and Eddie Kennett.
