Birmingham Brummies fought back strongly to beat Isle of Wight on Wednesday to enhance their chances of reaching the Young Shield competition.

The Brummies were down by 6 points at one stage but recovered to seal a 52-38 win at Perry Barr.

Tomasz Piszcz top scored for Birmingham with a 14+2 haul with 14 points coming from Craig Watson and 12 from skipper Jason Lyons who recovered from a fall.

The Brummies' victory comes after two successive defeats.
