Lakeside Hammers have signed Polish rider Tomasz Jedrejak for the remainder of the season. The 29-year-old has joined the Essex on loan from Belle Vue Aces and will make his debut at home against Wolverhampton on Wednesday. Jedrejak will be part of the squad to head into the Elite League play-offs and the Craven Shield final against Coventry Bees. He comes in to the side after they lost four regular riders to injury. Hammers team-manager Jon Cook said: "Tomasz comes to us with a huge recommendation from several of his new team-mates who think he is just the kind of rider who will slot into our set-up." The Hammers are also hopeful that Jonas Davidsson will soon be able to return to the side. The Swede was concussed in an accident in his homeland last week, but will return against Peterborough on Friday, should he pass a medical the previous day.
