Birmingham Brummies slipped to their fifth home defeat in their last six meetings as Berwick sealed a 48-42 win at Perry Barr in the Premier League. James Birkinshaw top scored for the Brummies with 11 points and a bonus on his return from illness. The home side lost Lee Smart with a bad back late on and were forced to use rider replacement. A 15-point maximum from Adrian Rymel, including a crucial win in Heat 13 sealed the Bandits' victory. The result sees the Brummies stay in 13th place in the Premier League table, 16 points clear of rock-bottom Mildenhall. Their next meeting is against the Fen Tigers, who have yet to win or claim a bonus points, on Saturday.
