Despite heavy rain the Sheffield Tigers managed to come from behind to earn a draw with rivals Redcar.

The Tigers found themselves trailing 24-18 when the referee Graham Reeve called a temporary halt to the event as the heavens opened over Owlerton.

The break rallied the Tigers and, inspired by top scorer Paul Cooper and captain Andre Compton, they fought back to draw.

Compton won the final race of the night to leave the meeting level at 45-45.

But Redcar's trip to Stoke Potters on Saturday night has been postponed due to rain.
