Chris Harris won last year's GP in Cardiff (Jeff Davies) |
Coventry Bees skipper Chris Harris remains upbeat despite sustaining a broken nose and suffering knee injuries at the British Grand Prix. Harris finished in sixth place at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday and is now 12th in the World Championship. He told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "I got into the semi which is what I wanted to do and I just missed out on the final. "But for that crash which wrecked my bike it was going good all night." Harris could miss Coventry's trip to Lakeside Hammers on Monday. Bees have no other injury worries and will operate rider replacement should he not recover in time. The trip to Essex is the first of five meetings in the space of eight days for the Elite League champions.
